Lunch with Peter J

Off to London today to meet up with Peter J, a veteran and ex-committee member of The Old Croydonians’ Association.

We met our favourite haunt of St Pancras International station and Carluccio’s – where, by the time I got there at 11.45, was heaving!

Still, the service, as normal, was ruthlessly efficient, and the food, delicious. Two lunches and twelve coffees later, between us, we’d put everything right in the world, chastised the government, caught up with each others’ news and shared the wedding photos!

I was on a timed train at 2pm, which worked out just right, so I was home by 3.15. A very enjoyable day!

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s!
