Nicki joined us today. The weather seemed to get better and better, so we decided to pop down to Kelmarsh Hall for their annual Game and Country Fair. Apparently it’s been running for over 20 years and yet, we’d never heard of it!
By the time we got there, it was a proper Summer’s day and the place was very, very busy. Luckily, Lee was with us and by taking advantage of her disabled badge, we were offered some perfect positioning for the car.
It was a varied show: falconry, sheep-dog demonstrations, fishing, jousting, air-rifles, bouncy castle etc etc. We had a really good time and stayed until lunchtime.
Then, it was off to Market Harborough for a spot of window-shopping, but not until we’d had some lunch. We settled for Pizza Express where we’d been with Ralph and Karen last year. Another excellent meal.
We then headed home and chilled out in the garden making the most of the sunshine. Nicki left about 5.30 heading for Derbyshire where she’s spending a few days. We spent the rest of the evening catching-up with programmes we’d recorded on Sky+.
Phew! What a Scorcher!!
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
