Day at the Races

So, we went to Market Rasen today with Nick and Celina. The weather was disappointing and although it didn’t rain, the temperature was much, much lower than of late.

Not a great day for winning either! We bet on four races in total, and the first three produced no winnings at all. Our horse ‘You Should be So Lucky’ in the 3.35 came in 1st but the odds were 8/15 – crap! But at least we wone something, £16 for a tenner stake. We left before the next race, leaving Nick and Celina to ‘invest’ on our behalf.

It was great to catch up with Nick and Celina this weekend – we’re going to try and do the horse-racing thing later in the year.

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s!
