…and two gorgeous gals!
We met up with Sandra & Dennis today. Having previously met them on their turf in Hull back in May, today, it was our turn to give them a taste of our neck of the woods – and so we met in Stamford. We arrived around 9.40 and they arrived just after us – and just two car-park spaces along!

First stop was the short walk to The Crown Hotel for one of their legendary brekkies and then a quick mooch around the town.
Next, it was off to Burghley House (that we haven’t been to since August last year) for a look round the House and Gardens…
We then stopped of at The Orangery for a small bite to eat, before heading for the Garden of Surprises and then a walk round the Sculpture Garden.
As things turned out, it was perfect timing because as we finished our walk the rain came. It was now just after 3 and so we said our goodbyes and Dennis & Sandra headed northwards home.
It’s been a great day – the weather could have been a tad warmer and drier, but it didn’t stop us enjoying our tour of lovely Stamford!

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
