Canada and Alaska โ€“ Part 2, Day 2: Alaska Itinerary

Reading time: < 1 minute...

Weโ€™re all at sea today, so that gives us plenty of time to get our head round the itinerary for Alaska.

Sunday (tomorrow): Ketchikan (bottom right on the map)

Monday: Icy Strait Point (not shown, but just left of Juneau)

Tuesday: Juneau (Alaskaโ€™s capital)

Wednesday: Skagway

Thursday: At sea โ€“ the highlight will be sailing past the massive Hubbard Glacier

Friday: Seward

All-in-all the trip is about 1500 nautical miles up whatโ€™s technically known as the inside passage (stop tittering at the back Tomkins!)

Quite by chance, for something else to do, we sat in on Naturalist Milos Radakovichโ€™s presentation in the Shipโ€™s Theatre about the wildlife of Alaska. Weโ€™d not heard of him before, but he turned out to be very knowledgeable AND educational – and hilarious in equal measure! Heโ€™d put many professional comics to shame and he had the audience in stitches and totally engaged throughout. Heโ€™s got another couple of events later in the Cruise and weโ€™re going to make sure weโ€™re there! Fantastic!!!

Ketchikan tomorrow by 7amโ€ฆ Ketch you later!
