Holiday Day 0 – Toronto

Reading time: < 1 minute...
An early start, even by our standards – we arrived at Birmingham Airport at 5.15.

The plane was on time and took off just after 8. We travelled with Air Transat, Club Class and it was excellent. Very attentive service and superb food too!

By 3.30pm (10.30 local time) and 3600 miles later, we arrived in Toronto.

Twenty minutes later, we arrived at the Marriott. It didn’t look much from the outside, but the staff were very friendly.

Our room wasn’t ready, but the Receptionist gave us a map and pointed out the shopping areas.

So, we decided to walk up to The Eaton Centre – a gigantic shopping area. It was a fifteen-minute walk. Boy is it hot! 30 degrees.

We had a good look round, sampled bagels, pastries and ice-cream…yummy! And then headed back. We were Very hot and knackered! Luckily our room was ready..and what a room! Kitchen, dishwasher, large flat-screen TV – it’s like a mini apartment. No doubt we’ll discover more about place in the next few days.

We decided to have a short sleep and go out later, so we hit the massive bed at around 3.30pm.

…and that was the last we remember. Next time we looked at the clock, it was 1am! Obviously our body-clocks are a bit confused and we decided to stay in bedrooms. We both woke about 3am and had a coffee and a read.

..more ‘tomorrow’ err later today!
