Off to Scarborough Castle and Whitby Abbey. Then, to The Magpie Café in Whitby for a superb fish lunch. We only had to queue for 25 minutes to get in – a popular plaice! (arf arf!) Then we stopped off in Pickering, a quaint village with lots of nice shops. Also visited Pickering Castle.

Left High Wray Farm today and headed for our second Farm ‘Carr House’. Stopped off at Betty’s Tea Rooms in Northallerton along the way, for a scrummy lunch! Also visited Helmsley Castle and Riveaulx Castle

Off to the Lake District today to co-incide with Ann’s birthday. A shame Ann’s major pressy didn’t arrive in time. We’re staying at ‘High Wray’ Farm in Ambleside for a few days… Off to an unplanned Italian meal at ‘PGs’, 21a Stramongate in Kendal The Silver Pussy returned 33.2 mpg on the journey here

Spoke with the Vet this morning, who more or less said that it’s ‘down to us’ now about what we do. The Vet was very sympathetic and said that if we have to bring Bubsy in for the ‘final injection’, they’ll ensure we’re treated with respect and not asked to wait in the crowded surgery… …
