Ann’s friend Nicki joined us on Saturday for the annual firework display at Wicksteed Park.

It was a cold evening with a touch of rain.

A good event overall, but a stray catherine wheel brought things to an abrupt halt after flying off and injuring a number of spectators.

They say they’ll be an enquiry as to how it happened…

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community.
