The mighty juggernaut that is the Marvel film franchise (or to give it its proper name, theΒ Marvel Cinematic Universe) continues on its unstoppable journey with their nineteenth movie (yes, really!) entitled: Avengers: Infinity War. Shares in the firm Spandex have already risen, as the movie was launched worldwide this weekend β and thereβs a lot of Spandex in this one!!!
Reported to be one of the most expensive films ever made (and maybe thatβs not surprising, given the sheer number of big names appearing in this latest superhero outing), itβs an all-out-action movieβ¦ on steroids! Donβt worry about the plot (as good as it is) just sit back and enjoy a screen full of your favourite superheroes doing their very best to beat the bad guy! (“Thanos“, if youβre asking).
Apparently, this is Part 1 of a two-parter, so donβt expect things to be completely wrapped-up in this (bladder-testing two-hours-twenty-nine minute) adventure – itβs perhaps NOT the ending youβre expecting. The sequel is coming in May, 2019, and itβs already been filmed, so expect some leaks any time soon – and gazillions of fan theories too! π
If youβre new to all this Marvellous stuff (see what I did there?), it helps if you know the back-story to some of the on-screen heroes – May I suggest, as a taster: Captain America – The First Avenger, Guardians of the Galaxy (the first one), Black Panther (the DVD is out in June) and of course Iron Man β the film that kicked-off the franchise in 2008.
Oh, one more thing – donβt forget to stay beyond the closing credits!
In keeping with previous Marvel productions, after theyβve rolled, thereβs a short three-minute sneak-peek that sets the scene for whatβs to come in the next movie. About 50% of the audience were βin the knowβ and stayed in their seat, but itβs fair to say that having βsneaked that peekβ, weβre none the wiser!! π
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s!Β My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here β it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
