Interior of the London Transport Museum

…loads come along all at once!

I was London-bound today to meet up with my good friend Angela C – and a trip round the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden. On the way down, I was surprised to see Denise M join the train at Bedford and so we spent the rest of the journey catching-up.

Covent Garden Tube

Next stop for me was Covent Garden, and the Tube station. I cheated and used the lift after being reminded over the tannoy that climbing the stairs is ‘equivalent to walking up five slights of stairs’! -Err, no thanks!!!

Angela arrived not long after and we soon found our bearings after the obligatory coffee-stop.

We were soon at the Museum and I’d quite forgotten how much was packed into this place. It was well worth the visit as they’ve made some big changes to the layout since I was last there, and it’s also the 150th anniversary of the London Underground (Google Translate = ‘Metro’) – so there was even more to see!

After about an hour-and-a-half, we were both ‘museumed-out’ so we headed off for somewhere to eat. Just round the corner was Loch Fyne – Covent Garden and that seemed like a good place (plaice?) to eat. Service was great and the food was very tasty.
