With the weather steadily improving, there was a really good chance that our fish & chip supper could be hosted outside! – Maybe Summer had finally arrived!!!
So we set up chairs in the garden (and just to be safe, in the lounge too!) and then I drove over to Atlantis Fish BarΒ to pick up the fourteen portions of battered deliciousness, whilst Ann and Lee prepared the chips, mushy peas and for the less confident – peas!
Trish and Karen both made desserts – Summer Pudding and Pavlova whilst Ann prepared a couple of humungous cheese-boards. It was all super-yummy.
In typical English fashion, the temperature dropped dramatically as we tucked in to puds, so we all retreated indoors – still, it was nice to eat outside whilst we could!
It was great to see everyone – Lee, Jo & Janet, Paul & Karen, John & Trish, David & Rosi, Trevor & Fiona and Tom & Julie – and weβre hoping for a lot more opportunities this year to do this all again!! Thanks for coming folks, we had a GREAT time!
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s!Β My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here β it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
