Well, the plan was to use today to catch-up with my reading and take some photographs of the interior of the Ship.
It wasn’t to be, as I managed to twist my back getting out of the shower leaving me somewhat immobile for the rest of the day. We had a quick sit up on the main deck by the swimming-pool where Ann did some sun-bathing and I tried to find a stout chair to sit in and attempt to use the Ship’s internet facility.
Finding the chair was easier! as the provided internet connection was so slooooow, it took ages to accomplish anything (to be fair, they did tell us it would be a lot slower). As for posting my daily blogs – no chance – as the software kept timing-out trying to connect. Grrrr!
It’s a formal night tonight, so it’ll be on with the penguin-suit later. We’ve booked a table for two in the Rotterdam Restaurant, choosing to forego the rather quaint Captain’s Welcome Event and the chance of some free nibbles and champagne.
Mobility permitting, it’s all aboard the lifeboats tomorrow to visit Koh Samui in Thailand.
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
