Popped over to Paul and Sue’s to attempt to fix Sue’s PC. For no reason at all, it had started to pop-up warning messages about viruses and spyware attacking her machine. No matter what they tried, they couldn’t get the message to stop appearing.
What was interesting was, that it wasn’t their normal AV program that was giving the messages. Hhhhmmm… I suspect a Trojan of some kind.
After running various tests and downloading a tool that was supposed to fix-it – it didn’t make any difference! But I was lucky enough to find some instructions on the ‘net on how to remove it manually.
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff.
