I travelled down to London to meet up with Angela, Antoinette, Philip and June at ‘The Grand’ restaurant in St Pancras Station today. It’s the first time I’d been there. before meeting the gang, I met-up with Philip to set-up his net-book for him. A nice piece of kit…I’m very tempted. Free wi-fi at St Pancras too!!!!
June contacted us and said she wasn’t able to make it – that left just the four of us – she’d got the lurgey.
The service was great and so was the food. They had a live jazz-band and the place was – by about 8pm – packed!
Recession – what recession?
The time flew as it always does, but at least I was only yards from my train. I caught the 9.30 and was in the car by 10.40. I took the opportunity to find Nationwide and ‘reboot’ my Visa Card.
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
