We took a drive to Lincoln today to meet up with Bev, who we haven’t seen for a while. We arrived at 12.30 – after a frustrating journey that diverted us via Oundle.
After a brief introduction to ‘Smokey’, Bev’s rabbit we headed for the Wharf for lunch. Bev suggested we tried ‘The Ultimate Burger’ that had opened around a year ago. We’d not heard of them, but we thought we’d give it a go!
We weren’t disappointed! The food was excellent (possibly the best non-chunky fries we’d ever had) and that was matched by the service – quick and efficient.
After lunch we headed for town for shopping. Ann got a new pair of shoes from her favourite shoe shop – Knight’s, whilst I picked up a few non-essential bits and pieces.
We headed back to Bev’s flat for a cuppa and left around 3.45. On the way home, we diverted to Waitrose in Rushden and topped up our shopping.
We got home around 6pm.
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
