Holiday – Peasenhall, Suffolk – Day 4

Reading time: < 1 minute...

Another lazy lie-in. Nice!

Lee wasn’t feeling 100%, so Ann and I went exploring together. Weather-wise, it started warm, but got colder as the morning progressed.

First stop, Saxmundham. A bit of a half-horse town. We parked in the Somerfield car-park and looked around the Church – St John’s – mentioned in the Doomsday Book.

Next stop, Framlingham. A beautiful little town, complete with a town-square. We looked around the Castle (English Heritage), carefully avoiding the thousand or so kids who were there on a school-trip.

We popped into the local church. It was full of delightful looking kids on a harvest festival event. Time for a sharp exit! Then into a local shop where Ann bought some beautiful jewellery – some for her, some for Christmas pressys. Then into a local coffee-shop for a short pit-stop.

We then headed back to the cottage. Rain is in the air and it’s now much colder.

We’re going to try and eat the contents of the fridge to cut down on the amount of stuff we have to pack back into the car.

So, we all ate lunch in-house- Lee was feeling much better – and spent the rest of the day reading and packing!

Hopefully we should be ready to leave by 9.30 tomorrow.
