Gosh! It’s been a while since we were last here! – November 2016 actually! We journeyed to the centre of Kettering town with Julie and Bev for a Curry at the excitingly-named (and once oft-visited) The Exotic Dining.
The food has always been excellent here and I’m not sure why we’ve been away so long 🙄. Thing is, we’re lucky enough to be spoilt for choice round here for great places to eat, and there just aren’t enough days in the week to regularly eat at them all! #ToughLife
It had probably been our favourite Indian restaurant since the demise of Mazza’s, and it was good to be back. The manager seemed to remember us, and were given a very warm welcome (and handshake) and then promptly shown to our table.
He needn’t have hurried though! Even though the food was better than we remember it, we did have to wait for it… and wait… and wait! And they weren’t particularly busy either! Perhaps more surprising, given it was a Friday night!
But maybe it was one of those few times where the wait was definitely worth it. We all agreed that it was all absolutely delicious! Probably the best tasting Indian meal we’d all had in a long time. Clearly the kitchen, for whatever reason, was under a bit of pressure and by the time we put down the last nibble of Naan, we’d been at our table for almost two-and-a-half hours. Personally, I don’t like eating late, so we skipped dessert and coffee and headed for home. We dropped Bev and Jules off at theirs and ‘hit the hay’ around 11pm.
So, all-in-all, it was good to see the restaurant again; the staff were super-friendly (as always) and the food memorable – just a pity it took so long before we were able to enjoy it! 🙄
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
