We went to The Fox Inn at Thorpe Waterville tonight to meet up with Mick and Jane.
Last time we all saw each other was back in November last year for our Christmas get-together at Loch Fyne in Elton – and the last time we were here was back in January 2014.

Memories from last time include… generous portions and excellent service. Let’s hope tonight is no different! 👍
We arrive just before 6.30 and headed inside. First job though, a pre-dinner drinkie! – a pint of Eagle IPA for me whilst Ann settled for a half of Stowford Press Cider! 🤪
Mick and Jane arrived just a few minutes after us and there was just time to drool over their new Mini before heading for the Restaurant.
The Service was brisk (almost too brisk, if that were possible) and we were therefore soon tucking into our respective choices in record time…
The food certainly didn’t disappoint! Packed with flavour and beautifully presented too! Together with a pre-dinner drink and a bottle of wine, the total bill was under £60 per couple, which was great value.
We had plenty of time during and between Courses to catch-up with everyone’s news and we’re going to do it all again in the Summer and try out a Pub/Restaurant we’ve not been to before – The Old Pheasant in Glaston.
A great evening with great friends!

I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
