We drove over to Milton Keynes this evening to meet up with Chris, Gill, Abi and Denise. Bizarrely, it was nothing to do with my extended birthday celebrations!
First stop was Carluccio’s in the Shopping Mall with our table booked for 5.30. The food was tasty – I had chicken – but with the Barman’s first night on the job, and the kitchen under pressure, it meant that despite the best efforts of our Waiter, things were a bit slow. So slow in fact, we skipped coffee and dessert in order to get to the Theatre on time.
Gill had bought tickets for the English National Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker at Milton Keynes Theatre. We had not been here before but a lavish set, super-comfy seats – with a perfect view (and one of the scariest Mouse King’s I’ve ever seen) meant it was a very enjoyable evening! Well, he scared me anyway!!
The production finished around 9.45 and after saying our goodbyes, we headed for the car-park. A very smooth journey back meant we were home by just after 10.30.
Thanks for getting us organised Gill – we had a fab time!
I got into blogging quite late in life, not publishing my first post until 2004 – well into my 40s! My lifelong love of technology and communication (in all its forms), together with a fondness for the art of writing seemed to be the perfect combination to contribute a few words to the online community. But I’m no Samuel Pepys! If you’re looking for deep and meaningful comments on a variety of subjects, then you’ve arrived at the wrong site! I only pen for pleasure! On average, my posts appear about twice per month, covering family & friends, cinema visits, eating out, holiday experiences and techy stuff. Oh, and as this is my hobby, there are no sponsored links nor adverts here – it’s all done with love!
I hope you find it enjoyable, interesting and occasionally, even helpful!
